What it does
Data Tools at a glance
Everything in one table
Bring in results from every capture mode, or open CSV, Excel and .balaur files.
Clean and correct
Fix a value in a click, filter, sort and total, with every change kept in your own file.
Charts
Build charts from any columns, including a normal curve view that shows how your figures spread.
Ask Claude in plain English
Optionally ask for things like rows 20 to 80, or every entry between two dates, and stack filters on your own key.
Accounting exports
Create import-ready files for Xero, MYOB AccountRight, QuickBooks and Sage Accounting.
Straight into Tax mode and Studio
Send a table to Tax mode for your tax estimate, or to Balaur Studio for a presentation.
How it works
Four steps.

Correct, filter, sort and total.
Understand it
Chart it and ask questions.
Send it on
Export to your accounting software, Tax mode or Balaur Studio.
Good to know
- Balaur Data Extractor is not accounting software. It gets the data off your documents and into the format your accounting software expects.
- Ask Claude is optional and runs on your own key. Data Tools works fully without it.
- Data Tools is part of the Windows desktop app.
A person always has the final say: every reading is shown for review, and readings that look off are flagged.
